So saturated, deep and concentrated, bursting at the seams with huge fruit, spice, game and floral aromas. Full-bodied, massive and rich in blackberry, blueberry, wood smoke and lavender flavors. Made from 30% whole clusters and aged in all new French oak barrels. Drink now or hold.

As part of the joint project with Yves Cuilleron, half the production returns to France with the closing of the winery. The 2023 Syrah Domaine des Chirats pours a inky black hue and remains reserved aromatically today, though notes of graphite, compact black plum, lavender, violet, olive tapenade, and pepper slowly emerge. Raised in 500-liter barrels with 30% new French oak, it carries bright acidity, savory spice, and long, salty persistence. I may even prefer this to the So Serene bottling. Drink 2026-2046.
