My ode to Côte du Rhône. The goal is to produce wine that comes across like a fantastic Côtes du Rhône. I want complexity and intensity like all my other wines, but be more approachable. As a lover of all things Rhône, I decided to make a Southern Côte du Rhône-style wine, but to include Zinfandel in the blend. I wanted it to be a great introduction to my Rhône-centric winemaking style. I also wanted it to be delicious and yes, MAGICAL! The name Smoke & Mirrors comes from my love of anything that is magic.
